This is a picture of Tania Szabo holding her mother's George Cross. Violette earned this the George Cross after her death for her extreme acts of bravery. This cross sold at an auction for 260,000 Euros. It now sits at the Imperial War Museum in London, England.

Additional Information:Later in the same year as Violette's execution, Violette was awarded the George Cross. The George Cross is the second highest British military award, and Violette was only the second woman to receive this award. Now in total, only four women, Violette included, have ever been presented with this award. After an auction in 2015, this cross is displayed at the Imperial War Museum. Violette has also been awarded a MBE, the French Croix de Guerre, and the Medaille de la Resistance.

Additional Information: Tania Szabo is Violette's only daughter. On Tania's ninth birthday, Her and Violette's parents had gotten on a boat and sailed over to Australia. She went to college in Armadale, from there she moved to Sydney, then Wales. Tania wrote a book on her mother's life called "Young, Brave, and Beautiful." On July 22, 2015 Tania sold Violette's George Cross for 260,000 euros.
